Our group had a run day on Saturday, where we opened the museum for the public, for 2 reasons.
One was to celebrate national heritage Month.

The second was to dedicate our new shed for Eddy & Gwen Abraham, who very generously donated a huge amount of money to enable us to fund a new storage/display and workshop facility. For which our group will be eternally grateful.
This donation came at a crucial time for our group, as the showgrounds committee were pulling down a large storage shed, attached to our Museum, leaving us with no room to store spare exhibits, equipment or house our workshop.
Eddy & Gwen are extremely generous to the Bendigo Community and have been for many decades, working for many groups, like Probus, Miridong home, the food bank , to name a few. Without people like this in any community, large or small, many groups and community services, just wouldn’t exist.
Eddy has been a member of our group, since 1982 and is now a life member.
A large crowd of members and families gathered as we dedicated the shed and erected a sign and named the shed in their honour & had an afternoon tea.

Eddy & Gwen further surprised us on the day, with yet another generous donation to our group, which will enable us to complete some of the interior work in the Abraham Shed.
